1 Day Course - £450 up to 12 learners

 Course Description

This Emergency First Aid at Work, 1 day course qualifies delegates with an in-depth knowledge of first aid in compliance with HSE guidance. Delegates will be equipped with the theoretical and practical skills needed to deal with first aid emergencies in the workplace. This qualification is valid for three years and is appropriate for most working environments

Course Syllabus

  • Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider

  • Understanding legal duties (Health & Safety at Work Act)

  • Accident reporting (RIDDOR)

  • Infection control and personal safety

  • Assessing incidents and ensuring scene safety

  • Unresponsive Non-Breathing Casualty

  • Adult CPR

  • Safe and effective use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

  • Unresponsive Breathing Casualty

  • Recovery position

  • Choking

  • Wounds and Bleeding

  • Shock

  • Seizures

Please note: Assessment is completed through a multiple-choice question papers and practical demonstrations.

 

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for individuals responsible for the welfare of infants, children, and adults within their professional setting. This includes nursery environments, childminders, and carers. The required qualification levels should adhere to Ofsted regulations and the Department for Education (DFE) Early Years Foundation Stages.
