Course Description
This accredited Understanding Mental Health First Aid one-day course qualifies delegates as first responders in mental health. It helps learners recognise and manage mental health issues in the workplace, implement best practices and promote well-being. Delegates will learn to guide individuals towards mental health support effectively and promote positive well-being in the workplace.
Course Syllabus
Understand the role of the first aider in Mental Health in the Workplace
Understand a range of the most common Mental Health conditions
Know the recognition signs of stress and how to manage it
Understand factors that can impact on Mental Health
Know how to provide practical support in Mental Health
Understand how to put an action plan for Mental Health in place within the workplace
Know how to implement a positive culture for Mental Health in the workplace
Please note: Assessment is completed through a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the session.
