A Life Saved, and Lifesaving Skills Shared in the Community
This week, Team Training Group had the honour of welcoming a very special guest to our community-led Emergency First Aid course.
On the 10th of July, while walking his dog Charlie across South Beach field in Blyth, Stan suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing. In that critical moment, several local residents who had previously attended first aid training sprang into action. They remembered what to do and immediately began CPR. Thanks to their quick thinking and courageous response, Stan’s life was saved.
Inspired by this incredible story, members of the Blyth community gathered today at Blyth Town Football Club to learn the same lifesaving skills. It was a day full of learning, connection, and shared purpose.
We were truly privileged to be part of such a powerful moment and even more so to have Stan with us in person. He shared a few words about the importance of first aid, and why more people should learn these essential skills. It was a reminder of just how vital this knowledge can be, not just in theory, but in real-life moments that change lives forever.
A massive thank you goes out to everyone who attended, including the local heroes who played a part in saving Stan’s life. Your actions were nothing short of remarkable, and your presence today helped inspire even more people to get involved.
It was an absolute privilege for Team Training Group to deliver this course.
